Having your 'd'ruthers!
The phrase that my Dad often used was a product of being reared and a farm in the Central Valley in California in the early 1900's. My dad, Otto Neufeld M.D., started grade school around 1920 at 6 years of age, and attended school in a one room school house in Exeter, just a short walk from Visalia, where he lived with his parents and four other siblings. They spoke German at home, because both of his parents were 2nd generation immigrants from the Konigsburg area in East Prussia, now Poland. Occasionally Otto would bring local vernacular home from school, during the process of becoming bi-lingual. One of these sayings stuck with him into adulthood, and was one of his favorite ways of teaching me and my siblings the art and science of decision making; which was "Would you d'ruther have/do/be this, or that." Dad called this "having the d'ruthers." I will include that "folky" saying in my question to you today.
So; would you d'ruther have to make a life or death decision for or against gaining entry into the Kingdom of God or Satan, during a 5 month period in which Satan himself would be ruling the world in person for 5 months (literal time) of literal "hell on earth" death and destruction, OR would you d'ruther make that same decision during a 1000 year period of peace and prosperity, where you can see the New Jerusalem with your own eyes, where people that are already in the Kingdom of God are walking in and out of the city, where the Kings of the Earth bring their glory into the city, but cannot themselves live there, and when Satan and his demonic horde are emprisoned in the spirit world, where they cannot adversely influence your decision to choose the Kingdom of God and eternal life?

Because God sometimes uses attacks from the enemy to accomplish His purposes, and we are most responsive to the Lord when we are going through something uncomfortable (mainly financial, relationship or physical/health challenges), we may find ourselves having to deal with the same kind of crisis in our lives over and over again until we acknowledge the interference of the enemy, why, where and how he has a legal or illegal influence in our lives, and then deal with him, taking authority over him if necessary, or getting healed and releasing him legally, as appropriate. If we ignore him he only gets stronger, and his roots go deeper into our lives and possibly into the lives of those we are in relationship with.
