Only a few days remain between now and Christmas Day, a holiday celebrated in the United States with oftentimes too much food, extravagant spending, and festive parties. Although Christmas brings families and friends together, many sadly champion the day without a single mention of Jesus Christ, the One whose birth we are supposed to be recognizing.

This is not a time when we want to even allow a thought to enter our head about the dark places of the world, where hunger, terror, and unspeakable exploitation are the daily norm.

Derek Williams, more commonly known as DJ, has traveled to those remote places of the world and shed light on the need of the people who reside there through his writing and involvement in the entertainment industry.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, D.J. has ventured into the jungles of the Amazon, the bush of Africa, and the slums of the Far East. A TV producer, director, and author, D.J. draws on his knowledge of multiple cultures to bring a unique perspective to his creative endeavors, both on screen and in his writing.

D.J. is the author of The Guardian series, currently consisting of The Disillusioned and Waking Lazarus. These fast-paced novels with riveting characters and suspenseful plot lines take the reader on a suspenseful and thought-provoking adventure.
