In February 2020, an unarmed Black man, Ahmaud Arbery, was going for a jog in the state of Georgia, when he was chased down and brutally murdered by two white men (Gregory and Travis McMichael). If Ahmaud had gunned down a white jogger would it have taken two months and public outcry before an arrest was made? In the last few weeks the news and social media has been flooded with stories of overtly racist acts that have led to everything from harrasment, arrest, brutality, to death. DR. HARRIS SAYS, "it is time for those who can, in Black communities across the United States, to fully excercise our 2nd admendment right to arm ourselves as we face more threats, and incidents of brutality upon our lives?" Tonight on the Dr, Harris Black Lives Matter Show we will revisit Ahmaud Arbery's last moment before being gunned down, and discuss steps necessary to demand justice for acts of brutatlity and violence aimed at Black, and Brown lives.
