Megan Loh, an avid Girl Scout and high schooler from Troy High School in Fullerton, California, has been a STEM enthusiast since elementary school. She has been volunteering to teach hands-on STEM education at underprivileged communities since middle school and has seen firsthand how girls, especially the under-resourced community and minorities, face the challenge of gender stereotypes in the technology industry. Hoping to close the gender gap, she founded GEARup4Youth, and mobilized over 130 teens from 25 different schools to bring technology education to underserved girls. Through her efforts, she has reached over 6500 girls so far!
