The Survivor's Nest Blog & Shop founder April Smith has the passion and enthusiasm to inspire others. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer June 12, 2013, at the age of 34, she propelled herself to overcome the illness. Faith, courage, support, and strength empowered April to triumph over cancer. Her personal experience with cancer increased her compassion to encourage and uplift others facing obstacles. Although she's cancer free, she understands the fight against cancer is a continuous battle. A battle in which she has committed to help other women and men fight. The will and determination needed to overcome the statistics of being a teen-age of a mom of (2) daughters was the strength April leveraged to fight and overcome breast cancer.
