SISTERS STRIVING & THRIVING WITH HIV/AIDS: Long term survivors speak their truth

Women are the largest new cases of HIV/AIDS yet we rarely talk about or with this population. Women are the community foundation, without women the future of humanity is lost and stopped.

This panel of courageous women speaking with us tonight will share the difficulties they faced. How it turned their world upside down when they received the diagnosis. How did they handle telling their family and loved ones? How does the virus impact the family unit? 

All are powerful women in the community of HIV/AIDS, women's reproductive and sexual rights, activists and advocates. Some have even created and begun their own agency to fill the void that was present. So even before the main stream realized that programs geared towards women were non-existent, these brave women stepped up and took on the challenge of helping women to heal
