Disappointment can be a tricky emotion. It is often viewed as a negative emotion one may feel when one's outcome does not match up to one's expectation. It can be characterised by feelings of sadness, loss, anger and frustration.
Disappointment is an unavoidable part of life. People are human and will at some point disappointment you no matter what role they play in your life. It can also be even more challenging when one becomes disappointed in oneself which often happens. Such is not always easy to deal with. It can also cause a setback. It may affect one's behavior, cause emotional distress, and impact one's relationship. The root cause of disappointment is expectations and thoughts. Some disappointments are actually predictable and preventable. As a child I recall being told by my mother, "What did you expect?" That still bothers me today. That led me to trust God with the outcome.
Join myself and other as I provide information regarding why disappointment hurts so much. I will alos provide information regarding positive ways to address and recover from being disappointment. One should not put up walls or project their hurt onto others. Healing is possible. There are ways to bounce back from being disappointment. Let's talk about it. I want to hear your thoughts.
