This can be normal however, when the adult child reaches the age past 30 what is a parent to do. Today there are many parents that have adult children still living at home. There appears to be an epidemic of young adults in our society that are struggling to get off the ground. The adult child may have mental health issues, struggling with addictions, or they may have difficulties with failure to launch. However, what is a parent or family to do? As time passes the behaviors and the attitude the adult child demonstrate around the home can appear to look like entitlement issues. Such can also leave the parents with complex emotions as well as struggling to obtain resources and support.
Join myself and others as we discuss adult child entitlement. The adult child as well as the parents could benefit from obtaining resources and support. What does tough love look like in your home? Are you afraid of your adult child? Do your adult child blame you for their problems or situation? What is a healthy adult child relationship?
