Women In Male Dominated Careers

As a child many young girls had dreams of becoming an athlete, joining the military, obtaining a professional career or becoming first responder in a male dominated field. As the young lady became an adult, many obtained an education, received professional training and prepared for their dream career only to become disappointed. Many have endured challenges that many of authority either have closed their eyes or refuse to believe that such challenges, attitudes, perceptions  and behaviors still exist. 

We witnessed this in our last political election. It exist in the board rooms, military, law enforcement, and even with our first responders. So what are we now to tell our daughters, grand daughters or little sisters as they want save lives or make a difference in the world? Yet many careers are still dominated by men. This can't be ignored anymore. 

Many women have walked into male dominated careers or worked places and perform well yet do not receive the promotions or recognition that they deserve. A woman should not have to be discriminated against, mistreated, harassed, sacrifice their values, reinvent their personality or be under paid. Let's educate others and break those gender biases that continue to exist.
