This is a place where open participation is needed so everyone can learn and grow from one another. Please note, this show is recorded and heard by distributor and non-distributor alike, so we must stay compliant, positive, and show everyone the helping hearts we all have as we share BEMER with others. Areas of discussion will cover everything in the BEMER Back Office, new promotions, how to share BEMER, what works best for you, what tools do you use most and why. Part 2: Close Up Radio Welcomes Back Hospice Advocate Judi Lund Person
in Caregiving
Ashburn, VA - Americans spend a lot of time avoiding and not thinking about death, but like taxes, death is inevitable. Talking about where you’d like to be, who you’d like to be, and what you’d like to do is essential to entering this life-stage with confidence and grace. As the former Vice President of Regulatory and Compliance at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and a longtime advocate for hospice services under Medicare, Judi Lund Person has been working hard for more than 40 years to protect the definition of hospice care and to provide resources and guides for hospice providers to meet the Medicare requirements and provide high quality hospice care.
Many people think that hospice is a place. Other people think that hospice means that you will be required to die at home. The reality is that hospice is a service that provides care wherever the patient is.
Hospice care is provided by an interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, aides and other people who might be needed, like music therapy and massage. The team works together to develop a plan just for the patient and their family. The patient and the patient’s chosen family all receive care from the hospice team—and support for physical symptoms; psychosocial and spiritual concerns for both the patient and their family. After the patient’s death, bereavement support is available to the family for 13 months to help with the adjustments to the loss of their loved one.
Since leaving NHPCO, Ms. Person founded LundPerson & Associates Hospice Consulting for hospice providers looking for resources and expert guidance.

Concussions and the Gut-Brain Connection with Sandy Wesson
in Health
Sandy Wesson has been a Registered Nurse for 42 years. During these years, she has worked in the Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care, Hemodialysis, Hospice and Palliative Care, as well as other aspects of healthcare. 10 years ago, Sandy left clinical nursing to move into the realm of Functional Wellness - becoming certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and as a Certified Functional Bloodwork Specialist. Sandy’s goal is to put the power of health back in the hands of her clients, rather than being dependent on doctors. She reads bloodwork from a Functional Perspective – which provides information about what the body needs. Together with her clients, she looks at the effects of thoughts, traumas, and toxins on the body, and what can be done. Sandy is a best-selling contributing author. Her chapter “Heal the Body to Heal the Brain” can be found in Healing Beyond the Diagnosis, volume 1, by Dr Kylie Burton, DC and Colleagues. Additionally, Sandy has been an energy healer for more than 20 years, utilizing her gifts of empathy, clairaudience, and clairsentience to tune into my clients’ vibrations. As an empath, Sandy is finding that currently, people have a greater need for energy healing to assist in opening their own power to heal. www.brainworksforlife.com
