Good Deeds presents Marshelle "Comedian Ms. Woody" Woodland- the founder and CEO of Midwest Show Me Funny Entertainment.
I am currently working on several ways to deliver this powerful message about bullying.Marshelle "Comedian Ms. Woody" Woodland grew up in St. Louis, MO, and has been developing her comedic art since the mid 1980's. As a college student at Southeast Missouri State University, Woody was inspired to make people laugh by Cedric the Entertainer when he used her as a subject in his stand-up act. Woody has performed with the likes of Jesse Taylor, Darius Bradford, Arvin Mitchell and many more. Woody has co-hosted radio programs with Bob Lawrence, and produced, promoted voted and sponsored The Annual Midwest Show Me Funny Comedy Competition, featuring comedians from around the United States. Woody's main focus, however, is the need for community members to encourage and support each other. Woody's main focus, however, is the need for community members to encourage and support each other. Whether she is fundraising for charities, passing out water in the extreme heat to homeless, or driving her kids to school events, Woody is focused on making Midwest Show Me Funny Entertainment the first venture incorporating multiple not for profit groups for a single purpose. Ms Woody elaborates " When you are laughing you forget your troubles and your pain. It's always better to support people who are there for the greater good.
