Another Fork in the Road - Guest, Dawn Corbelli - Help Survivors in Hospital

    in Education

Hospital patients can all benefit from support from family and friends, but if you are hospitalized because of a brain injury, it's imperative to have an advocate by your side. Survivor and caregiver, Dawn Corbelli and I discuss the importance of this topic.

Every TBI survivor and caregiver has encountered a fork in the road that has diverted his or her life-plan. A car accident, a fall from the roof, doing one more chin-up, or a door literally slamming one in the face are just some causes of traumatic brain injury. College plans, walking down the aisle in the perfect dress, or the coveted job quickly slip from reality as dreams turn to struggle. These unexpected life-happenings that divert one from his or her chosen path in life can be devastating. But as Yogi Berra once said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." Life is all about choices!

    No Multitasking

    in Training

Today, I would like to challenge you to focus on one single task at a time, so you can accomplish more!
Challenging ourselves to single tasking can be achieved through various strategies:
Prioritize your task. Set a time limit: Block specific time for each task. Minimize distractions: Create conducive work environment. Practice mindfulness: Train your mind to stay present and focused on the task at hand. Break your tasks into smaller steps. Utilize Productivity Tools: Like your calendar, task lists, or productivity apps, and stay on track with single tasking goals. Take breaks: Allow yourself short breaks between tasks to recharge and to refocus. By incorporating these strategies into your daily routine, you can gradually develop the habits of single tasking. Reap the benefits of increased focus, productivity, and effectiveness.

AFRICAN AMERICANS AINT AFRICAN with Kerry Davis

    in Education

Tonight on Dark Matter Radio we have the originator of AFRICAN AMERICANS AINT AFRICAN Kerry Davis. This man coined the phrase "STOP ACCEPTING INFORMATION THAT DEFIES LOGIC!"  He put it all in his book AFRICAN AMERICANS AINT AFRICAN.
“African Americans Ain’t African” shows us how the American Indians were transformed into "African American". The book details how the "African Americans" went from "Colored," "Negro", and "Black" to "African American" in less than 100 years. A must for those looking for a connection long-hidden
    Pretty Wolf
African Americans Ain’t African” should definitely be a book that every Indigenous person should own. Kerry Davis does an exceptional job of explaining contrasting circumstances and events that most people either do not want to talk about or absolutely have no clue about. A must!

It started with childhood neglect by his parents that shaped his view of himself and the world. “I felt empty. Like-like just like nobody cared, and eventually it got to the point where I thought, well, maybe this is the norm, just for my life. Maybe this is how it’s supposed to be,” says Deven...He shares his story hoping others who are being trafficked will find help as they cry out to God for freedom. “God hears you, every prayer, every thought. And there is hope. If He can set me free, He can help you get free,” says Deven. (cbn com).

PROFESSOR WALTER WILLIAMS Q/A PART 1

    in Higher Education

During the past 50 years, Professor Williams commitment has been to researching and finding out all that I could to resurrect the Ancient Egyptian consciousness among my people. We have gone from Africans/slaves, to Coloreds, to Negroes, to Blacks, and now to African-Americans.
The information written in this book is very vital to our community at this time in world history. If we are to advance ourselves out of this mental and spiritual confusion, we must have the knowledge of what happened to our Ancient Egyptian ancestors in the past in order for us to know what has to be done in the future.
If he had not written the books Historical Origins of Christianity and Islam, chances are you would have never known the true historical origin of Christianity because Christian theology, as taught throughout history and today, will never reveal this to you. Why not? Because the European religious and academic communities have erased the Coptic Egyptian origin of this religion thereby creating a totally European world view of Christianity.
Since we as a people have been spiritually disconnected from our Ancient Egyptian ancestors, we do not think and live our lives as subjects of our own ancestral historical experience.
