If you’ve ever flipped from the last page of the Old Testament to the first page of the New—you’ve just skipped over 400 years of history with that single page turn.  I order to fully understand the New Testament you must have an understanding of God’s Master Plan before the foundation of the world, His ultimate divine purpose for mankind and how He would provide everything necessary for our eternal life. God is always working thing out for our good, even when He is silent, not speaking, or has turned a deaf ear on His people.  Even then nothing can take God by surprise. It seems that God allowed this period of time for the teachings of the Old Testament to penetrate throughout the world. During this time, He rearranged the scenes of history, much as a stage crew will rearrange the stage sets after the curtain has fallen, and when the curtain rises again there is an entirely new setting.
