The Book of Isaiah is a collection of poems, generally divided into the Book of Judgement (Chapters 1-39) and the Book of Consolation (Chapters 40-66). The Book contains two of the most famous prophecies in Hebrew Scripture

Isaiah, whose name means “Yahweh is salvation,” is best known for writing the book that bears his name in the Old Testament. His writings are especially significant for the prophecies he made about the coming Messiah, hundreds of years before Jesus was born.
