"God is the potter and we are the clay"

Jeremiah 18:1-6

18 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

God wanted Jeremiah to understand the lesson He was about to teach Him, so He sent Him to the potter’s house to see what a potter can do with clay.
