Larry Chance and the Earls and Steve Michaels new release SONGS FOR LOVERS
Larry Chance Born in South Philadelphia, PA, Larry Chance grew up in a neighborhood noted for it's show business roots, spawning such talents as Fabian, Frankie Avalon, Chubby Checker, Mario Lanza, Danny & the Juniors, Joey Bishop, David Brenner, and many more. It was here Chance began his love affair with show business. It was 1955 when his family moved to the Bronx, NY, there Larry discovered that vocal groups were to be found on almost every street corner, so he developed one of his own in 1957, with five friends, and called his group, the High-Hatters. By 1960 the group had evolved into what would then be called "the Earls". Through the years, the original members moved on to other things.
Steve Michaels the accomplished lead singer best known for his work with the Velvatones, who grew up idolizing the '60s icons. Joining forces to select and perform classic love songs that resonate with their cross-generational fan base, Steve Michaels is the original lead singer of The Velvatones. Steve started the group in the Bronx in the late 70s, performing a wide variety of doo wop and songs of the 50s. The extremely appealing entertainment of Steve Michaels, original lead singer of The Velvatones has gathered and continues to gather a strong following through his many personal appearances in theaters, concerts, nightclubs and special events.
