Ephesian 2:1-10
1 And he hath quickened you, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 Wherein ye formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all formerly had our conversation, in the desires of the flesh, doing the will of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the others. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Hath quickened even us together with Christ, who were dead in trespasses, (by grace ye are saved,) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places through Christ Jesus: 7 That he might show in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace ye are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not by works; lest any one should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created through Christ Jesus unto good works, which God had before prepared, that we might walk in them.
