This week Burke speaks with Roger Smith, a New York City native who suffered in a long battle with addiction that left him facing homelessness and time behind bars, after decades of struggle Roger turned his life around and climbed the corporate ladder.
Roger Smith found success early in his life, but it only fueled his addiction and bad behaviors, it took a big wake-up call after a suicide attempt to commit to setting things straight and getting his life in order. Since Roger has gotten his second wind he's spent four decades sober with a career as the CEO of a reputable Insurance Company, he now spends his time helping others turn their companies around and getting people on the right track.
Roger tells his story in his newest book, The Most Unlikely Leader, where he goes into detail about how he managed to set things straight.
