Physician, Researcher, Army vet Dr. Rob Cohen on History and Political Violence

In the wake of the mail bombing scare and the horrific shootings at the synagogue in Pittsburgh, much discussion is taking place about how to best tamp down the escalating rhetoric on both sides that has led to political violence.

Former John McCain campaign staffer, Army vet, and physician/researcher Dr. Rob Cohen recently spent time interviewing historian and author Dr. Peter Turchin about this very thing for the launch of Cohen’s new “Democrises” podcast which debuts November 1st on Apple iTunes and other platforms. Turchin and Cohen both feel that history can repeat itself, and the results could potentially be devastating for America if we don’t quickly learn from the past.
