America's Got Talent has skyrocketed Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. into the national spotlight, as he competes this week in the finals for a million dollar prize and a coveted spot as a Las Vegas headliner. It's pretty heady stuff for a former car washer and road crew worker from the tiny coal mining town of Logan, West Virginia deep in the Appalachian mountains.
It just so happens that Landau (or as his friends back home call him, Doonie) and host Burke Allen are both from Logan WV, and one of their mutual pals just happens to be Landau's pianist and close friend Bob Noone. How close are they? Murphy sang at Bob's wedding, and the two performed side by side at a charity performance in Logan this past May.
Bob Noone was in Hollywood with Landau for his performance last week, and he'll share the inside scoop with Burke on:
-What's it's really like on the America's Got Talent set, including the chilly relationship between judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel
-Are the America's Got Talent contestants really as close as they appear on TV?
-How it's different watching America's Got Talent live in the studio audience vs. watching on television
-The high security and confidentiality now surrounding Landau as opposed to his simple life washing cars just a few months back in West Virginia
-The Landau Eugene Murphy music that we DON'T hear on America's Got Talent
-Landau's past leading up to this once in a lifetime opportunity, the undivided attention to his art, and the lessons he has for all of us who dream of doing something bigger and better with our lives
Don't miss this fascinating exclusive look behind-the-curtain at America's Got Talent and their hometown's own Landau "Doonie" Murphy with Burke Allen and Bob Noone Monday September 12th at Noon ET.
