Off to the Races Radio returned July 16 with an exciting show focusing on Thoroughbred racing around the Mid-Atlantic and across the country.
The July 16 show featured visits from Joe De Francis and jockey Jareth Loveberry.
De Francis, former owner of the Maryland Jockey Club, is a member of the board of directors of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority and joined us to discuss the implementation of that national program. Loveberry, previously among the leading riders at Arlington Park, is currently in a four-way tie for the riding lead after three days of racing at Colonial Downs.
Also on the docket are Darrell Wood, talking about all things Virginia, and legendary horseplayer Derby Bill Watson.
