Off to the Races Radio: June 11, 2022

The newest edition of Off to the Races Radio features a visit from former jockey Ron Turcotte, elected into the Hall of Fame in 1979. Turcotte is best known for riding the great Secretariat to victory in all three Triple Crown races in 1973. One year prior, he teamed up with another Meadow Stable runner, Riva Ridge, to win the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes, making this the 50th anniversary of Riva Ridge's big season..

We’ll also visit with trainer Graham Motion. Motion, winner of the 2011 Kentucky Derby with Animal Kingdom and runner-up in the 2017 Belmont with Irish War Cry, has three runners in Grade 1 contests Saturday at Belmont Park.

Also on the docket is handicapping with Derby Bill Watson and a visit with Dave Zenner.
