Jane introduces the topic by discussing the origin of private property in England in the 17th Century and how the Romans perceived it as well.  As Covid is beginning to put restrictions on our society, privacy and choices are issues in the forefront. The choice not to wear a mask, attend church, travel without a vaccine card are all being questioned.  Jane explored this topic more and discovered in 2018 that the Supreme Court ruled that law enforcement must get a warrant to seize an individual's phone for criminal investigation unless it involve crimes agst minors, then it can be taken away instanttly. We discuss privacy rights regarding police access to phone during questioning, consumer rights, when we can say no to authority regarding our privacy.  We discuss how the accessibility of cell phones and video cameras on our phone has put more scrutiny on police behavior.  We broaden the topic and expand it to civil forfeiture and other personal freedoms at stake.
