Why is it government's responsibility to instruct you on how to live your life?

Is it a legislator's job to tell me to get an abortion or keep the child?

Is is anyone's job to know who my sexual partner is--and can it be enforced or punished based on a law?

That and more.

Does my religion mandate me to tell others how to behave?  Or can I witness to them in my private life.
