HR Happy Hour 374 - The Future of Employee Communications

Hosts: Trish McFarlaneSteve Boese

Guest: Alan Burger, InfoSlips

Sponsored by Panopto - For businesses and universities, Panopto is everything YouTube isn’t. With enterprise-grade security, built-in recording and live streaming, and a unique search engine that finds any word spoken in any video, Panopto is how professionals share knowledge.

Today on the HR Happy Hour Show, Trish and Steve were joined by Alan Burger of InfoSlips, an innovative HR tech company that is trying to reinvent the digital document - an endeavor that has numerous applications and implications for HR leaders.

On the show Alan shared how the original idea for InfoSlips was developed (it was from receiving old, paper based paystubs), his thoughts on how to improve the way we communicate with employees via modern technology approaches, and the power of digitizing documents and employer/employee interactions.

Additionally, Alan talked about how with AI and other technologies, the capability exists to 'talk' with our documents - a really innovative idea and one that I bet you have not heard about before. And since it was a 'tech' and HR show, we also discussed the HR issues surrounding the increased automation of work, and what that means for HR and workplaces.

This was a fun and interesting show, thanks so much Alan for joining us.
