Wingman is on the road again with his Jets who continue on the road to one of their worst seasons ever, they are now 2-11.
At SID we are still feeling the pain over the loss of our beloved,Mel Smith Jr.,AKA''Rooney'',remembering him fondly today on his Birthday. Also saying Happy birthday to the truly great hoopster,Celtic and human being,Larry Joe Bird,on infamous ,Pearl Harbor day.
The day turned out to be another bomb for the Jets as they lose in O.T.,30-24 to the Vikings.Giants ended their 7 game losing streak. as did Cam Newton and crew theirs as they bombed the Saints in New Orleans,42-10.
Golden Boy's fight card last night at Brooklyn's Barclay Center, headlined by the middleweight clash between David Lemieux Vs. Gabriel Rosado was the bomb,as all the televised fights were exciting and with bombs being thrown.Lemieux's proved to be the most effective in his big and exciting win. Hank Lundy didn't throw enough in his loss to Thomas Dulorme and James De La Rosa threw and landed the biggest one in his sensational knock out of Hugo Centeno Jr.
The great heavyweight champion,Larry Holmes and his lovely wife Linda were in town Saturday night at the screening of Larry's film, part of the Shadow Box Film Festival, the world's only All Boxing film festival. The screening was at the SVA theatre in Manhattan. Also in attendance was former heavyweight champion Michael Bentt and festival chairman,David Schuster thanks to Jules Feiler for the media invitation and a job well done.HBO has Tapia media screening this Wed. All here at SID send get well wishes to E-Wonder's son,Eric Jr. At SID we always Rope the rumors,Lasso the issues,Brand the truth.
