In Memorium~

We are entering Memorial Day weekend here in the good ol' U.S. of A., and as with millions of others I am preparing my back yard for a family gathering on Monday. The 10 X 10 shade awning is up, the bar-be-cue is cleaned out and ready. I have a new bag of B & B oak  charcoal, and my lighting chimney ready. The patio is under shade cloth, and the table and chairs are ready for occupation for our Memorial Day festivities.

But during this time together with our family we will take a few minutes to remember those that died in the service of our nation, both in the military and not. "We will never forget" is not just a slogan in our family, because even though it was only my father that served during WW2, and did not die in service to our nation, we still honor the men and women that gave "the last full measure of devotion" of which President Lincoln spoke in his Gettysburg address.

All war is tragedy, and the wars that have been fought over the centuries in this world have been propogated by the machining of Satan to bring about a one world order under the banner of his kingdom. These wars have killed millions of both combatant and non-combatant people for no good reason other than Satan desires to see the blood and sorrow brought about by his hubris. But this does not change the fact that honorable men and women have paid the price for this prufidy with their lives, given with the sincerity of the innocent, and God will honor those sacrifices of the pure in heart at the proper time of His choosing.

So during the good times this weekend with family and friends this Memorial holiday, set aside a few minutes to remember your family, friends and strangers that in good faith gave a blank check to the nations that was cashed with their lives in time of conflict, and remember that what they did was not insignificant in the Grand Plan for the renewal of the world that is soon to take place.
