"Are We There Yet?"~

Parents that have take a road trip with children know that the words "Are we there yet?" are the most dreaded words in the English language. Why? Because once said they don't stop being said until the drive is over. The only words that are equal to those words are, "I've got to go to the bathroom"; especially when they are said 10 minutes after leaving the house. Anticipation of getting to the destination, coupled with having little or no sense of time and timing, are the true culprit in this type of story, especially when the destination is a long sought after place such as a cherished theme park.

For many people this identity carries over into adulthood in the impatience of having to wait for a needed pay check, or waiting for the birth of a child (especially on the part of the mother). My wife's favorite prayer (said tongue-in-cheek) is, "Dear Lord, give me patience; and I want it right now."

The world right now is in a protracted period of waiting for something to happen. With Covid running rampant, inflation going wild, prices going up dramatically for everythng, and the Government becoming more oppressive day by day, people are waiting desperately for somethng to happen that will solve all these issues, and bring us back to 'normal'. 

Jesus said, "I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown." Rev. 3:14.

But this 'coming' has not happend for 2000 years, and looks to still be a long way off, especially for those that want to be rescued from the evil of this world.

Jesus also said, "Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known." Matt. 10: 28.

That time is now upon us. So take heart and be patient. For the time is short.
