Linda ‘Peaches’ Tavani, Releases new single "How Many Times" Featuring. Kirk Whalum
The story of Linda ‘Peaches’ Tavani (formerly Linda Greene) begins with a young girl singing into a pink hairbrush to her stuffed animals, in a rural Maryland bedroom. She is dreaming that the hairbrush would someday transform into a microphone, the bedroom would become the most glamorous auditoriums in the world, and the stuffed animals would become millions of cheering fans. Her dreams would eventually manifest into something far more than her imagination could create.
As a young child, Linda was artistically influenced by the likes of Lenard Bernstein, Josephine Baker, and Diana Ross. Her participation in the ‘March on Washington,’ where she witnessed Martin Luther King, Jr.’s iconic “I Have A Dream” speech, would also have a profound influence on her life.
Linda’s musical journey began when she left home as a young adult, became roommates with soul singer Natalie Cole, and began singing with a band in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Soon after her move to Virginia Beach, Linda was invited to perform as ‘Peaches’ in the duo Peaches & Herb.
