Don't forget to push 1 if you want to join the conversation. With the recent news that rental payment data is being used to increase potential homeownership, research is also being released to express why this could be a win-win for people of color. I recently read an article in HousingWire News that discusses the current trend in America regarding homeownership among black households vs. white. It says that rental payment history and cash-flow data have the most significant potential to predict future mortgage performance. I'm always intrigued by these articles because of my dedication to educating first-time homebuyers and ensuring our young people are taught financial literacy early in life. I hope you will take a minute to read the article. I realize that the economy suggests it is not a good time to purchase right now. And for some, that might be so. However, it's always a good time to learn and prepare for when it is your time. You don't have to be declined for a purchase, refinance, home equity line of credit, or any type of credit period, and you certainly don't have to be a statistic. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT. COME HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE ON ME. All shows are recorded and can be heard on blog talk radio or Google podcasts. Subscribe, so you don't miss future shows.
