Donna Lyons Interviews Former NHL Player Bob Lemieux (Concussion Awareness)

Bob Lemieux is the founder and Brand for the CONCUSSION SUPPORT GROUP founded in 2012.  As of April 1, 2018, CSG is now called “CONCUSSIONDISCUSSIONS” on Facebook.

ConcussionDiscussions provides practical education materials and insights to persons and their families experiencing concussion or signs/symptoms of brain injury. Mr. Lemieux had a long and celebrated career as a professional athlete from 1962-1986.  Bob experienced 8 “knocked out” Concussions in his life from actively playing “contact sports”.  He has devoted himself for the past 6 years as a “student” and “advocate” helping everyone including athletes to understand this “SILENT EPIDEMIC” and seek treatments.

Bob is a brain donor and works with the National Hockey League Alumni Association for the study of CONCUSSIONS; the Canadian Concussion Center; and with Dr.’s Levine, Tator and Hazrati.  His connection with the Concussion community trying to help communicate about the severity of Concussions, gives everyone a better understanding of his mission.

Bob Lemieux educates in person along with his radio and tv interviews which has allowed him to reach thousands of people in this arena. He is a keynote speaker in the field of Concussions, education, treatment and prevention.

He is an extremely talented businessman, has extensive experience in PR, Marketing and Business Coaching.  Bob is also philanthropic with his foundation and children’s cancer camp.

Bob is an Author, a Sports Award winner, a Family Advocate in the Political legislation process for the State of Michigan for 12 years.  Bob also writes and posts on a regular basis regarding education, consequences, training and getting help when a child is concussed on his Facebook page
