Lynn Griesemer is an internationally known author and considered a leader / advocate of the controversial childbirth choice, "unassisted homebirth" (giving birth intentionally without a doctor or midwife). She wrote Unassisted Homebirth: An Act of Love (1998) and coordinated the First National Husband / Wife Homebirth Conference in 1998. Lynn also produced a CD titled YOUR BODY, YOUR BIRTH: SECRETS FOR A SATISFYING AND SUCCESSFUL BIRTH (2007) which is intended for couples in the childbearing stage. Lynn and her husband Bob live in Fairfax, Virginia with their six children between ages 8-22. Her passion for birth has resulted from her birth experiences (4 hospital births and 2 unassisted births), but continues to gain momentum because she believes that this issue (childbirth) is HUGE. The importance of a satisfying birth experience is largely ignored by the general public.
