EPISODE 307 "COON MUSIC: SWAGG OR SUICIDE"

So many people will either love or hat this segment. We will get back to the music soon, but since we have become a predominantly music show lately I figure if I talk about music it is pretty much the same. I came across an article that I will use as a reference for this show and I will post the link below. It is titled "Coonery 101: 10 Things I Need In Order To Be A Rapper On The Radio" First let me say that I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE AUTHOR OF THIS ARTICLE! But this is a part two of sorts from my last Episode, see THIS is the result of A LOT of what has transpired over the last few years in hip hop music. The article list 10 things the author (Dr. Boyce Watkins) says he needs in order to be a successful rap artist. Of course the IGNORANCE of the article comes in to play when you know what it REALLY TAKES to be a successful artist, like a BUDGET, PROMOTIONAL TEAM, GOOD MARKETING, and a GOOD SUPPORTING TEAM. But in this article this "DR." suggest that all you need are things like "Jewelry, guns, hoes, tattoos and an entourage" (in short) For such an "educated man" to say make this article you would think that I would bee shocked. You would think that I would be offended by it, seeing as how I AM A RAP ARTIST MYSELF. This is where you are wrong. You see the good DR. here is only looking from his vantage point. And sadly his vantage point is the same vantage point of MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. I'm going to go deep tonight people. Tune in.
