I know this might cut out a few of my listeners. If you are not 30 yet you will be hopefully one day, and if you are past them, you still might have friends or kick it with someone who is. All things considered since I know who actually listens and call my show, which are people in between the age of 25 and 40, I should be good! So let me get to the point. Life starts to change in SOME ways when you become 30. Of course by now you have heard of the JAY-Z line/song "30's the new 20". Well he kinda has a point. Being in yours 30s for Generation-X and how it was for Baby Boomers is really different. NOW you don't really get funny looks if you are still single. NOW you don't get funny looks if you are still a student (depending on what your going for!) NOW you are simply not expected to be quite as laid back, reserved, or locked in to daily routine. Sexuality, relationships, careers, what you do to relax, and our relationships with out children are all SUPPOSED to change drasticly they say when you hit 30. But my generation is straight up BUCKING THE WHOLE NOTION! Instead of settling down, a lot of us are single and still clubbing. Some of us have LATE TEENAGE KIDS because premarital sex and the age we started sex was REALLY young. Many of us are back in school learning new things, and we still FEEL like we 20 something. Some of us still DRESS and LOOK like we are in our 20's also. WHY IS THAT? What is a 30 something SUPPOSED to act like? What are some thing that you see a 30s person doing that makes you say they are TOO old, or TOO YOUNG for that? Are you where you would like to be in life if you are in your 30s? Well exactly where SHOULD you be? What about sex, is it better in your 30s compared to your 20s, why or why not? If you gonna date a person in their 30s where do you think they should be FINANCIALLY? What are some forms of entertainment that should be cut when you hit 30? it seems like it is becoming less of a MILESTONE age, I wonder why??
