"I woke up one morning in late March feeling depressed. I still went thru the usual motions of eating breakfast, checking emails, my bank balances, and a few other morning necessities. No matter what I did I felt gloomy, mildly miserable and just couldn’t shake a sense of why-bother. I wasn’t even sure what I was depressed about. I wasn’t sick. I hadn’t recently been through anything specific that would be a reason for my unhappiness. Even though I had slept almost eight hours already, I decided I would just go back to bed. My cat ran to the bedroom excitedly when she saw her dad was heading back to bed. Her enthusiasm gave me a little comfort, as my sad self hit the pillows and went back to sleep for two more hours..."
