We're taking a look at the new debt deal signed into law this week.

I believe the debt deal is a win for the president and the American people. It appears to me that the president alone with the leaders in Congress has a chance to put before the American people a great package in step two of this debt deal.  Both speaker John Boehner and Pres. Obama wanted a big deal now they have the ability to do just that by introducing such a proposal through this new committee of 12. With Nancy Pelosi picking three Democrats from the House of Representatives, I think Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell will put some form of the gang of six from the Senate on that committee.

This would leave the tea partiers on the sideline with John Boehner Controlling roughly 150 votes in the House and  Nancy Pelosi another hundred,  the tea parties 80 votes would not matter.

So in reality president Obama alone with John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell those five,  could devise the best possible solution and pick the 12 members of the committee to implement it and bring it before Congress for a vote and get it passed.
