Andy Slavitt is the former Acting Administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under the Obama administration who currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC).

Andy Slavitt is a senior advisor to BPC and is a member of its Future of Health Care Initiative. Slavitt has decades of private and public sector leadership in health care, business and technology. Over his career, Slavitt has led many significant and successful initiatives in health care impacting millions of Americans and the shape of the health care system.

From 2015-2017, Slavitt served as the Acting Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). 

Today, Slavitt remains dedicated to building a sustainable, high quality health care system that is available to all Americans and derives value from the private sector, health care providers, government and innovators. Throughout his career, Slavitt has demonstrated the power of bipartisan collaboration, particularly as he has overseen bipartisan efforts in payment reform, health information technology, competition and innovation.
