WHEN WE REALIZE CHANGE IS CONSTANT

I'm inclined to think masonry forms us in some way. I'm also inclined to critical thinking, based in ethics.  Masonry I will say, brings out the intelligence and awareness carried in the mind.  It gives us vocabulary to describe thought and feeling with the cool logic that time allows when we are standing in front of a marker telling us this green pasture was once a battlefield. Anonymous soldiers who died, not the ones who limped home injured and damaged. Phyric victory. That is the honesty of old men who have lived a life around military powers.  Will masonry give us hope reason will one day overcome instinct on a global screen?  First, unavoidable accountable is scrapping away subtrefuge. Whose truth is left? Everyone is victor or everyone looses.Tomorrow the world will be smaller than it is today. Differences will melt into commonalities and as long as men have ethics to guide them, despotism will fail. I don't hear people saying much about progress without linking it to a drone attack or dropping bombs. Will mankind continue to be influenced by our art? Will mathematics and science describe reality? Who decides? Philosopher Kings, marketplace (agora) populism, or likeminded individuals coming together?  Today, in some places, differences coexist. Science and belief have put don't their swords. Practice your faith as you please and I will practice mine. No unicorns. No riders on a big horse with a white hat. Familiarity isn't breeding contempt. It's creating relationships. Can a man be good because he believes in it? Time is telling us yes.
