Thoughout history we find examples of conflict gradually building, then peace gradually restored. If we have stockpiled guns then we need targets often with an ability to justify harm to an enemy. The enemy is us I think. For those who believe in destiny, in which hatred and cowardice are equally weak, for those who want to overcome cynicism and despair, it is possible to live in a mindstate of hope. It is inextinquishable faith. And if we look closely, we will notice vigilence is not fear, madness does not define us, that mistakes happen when we stop listening. For hundreds of years we have been writing about hope. We feel compelled to pass the message on to validate and perhaps inspire. Does the cradle of Freemasonry being a parapetetic Order, reflect this sentiment? We are the active contemplative acolyte, dreamers who are busy and aware. We are the traveller experiencing moments of discovery. And when we realize we are not alone in questioning, not alone striving to understand, not alone putting matters into our own perspective we experience a bond. No one ever said insight is all or nothing. Understanding is partial. Each time we ask the question, we form a different answer. Concrete thinkers tend to be unable absorb how an answer can change over time. Historians better than most, report change. What then have we mastered? We respect and repeat the great questions. Sometimes we even find an answer. Just when we think we have done, we find that time is only a point in time. That everything changes and truth endures.
