Alpha and Omega
Revelation 22:10-21
In this week’s lesson, Jesus declared Himself to be the Alpha and Omega, citing the span between the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet to symbolize that He is Sovereign over all things and that He is complete within Himself, and needs nothing from any other source. Jesus has always existed, but He created time and came as our Saviour. Someday He will end time as we know it. He is the beginning and the end and when He returns He will bring rewards with Him.
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (Revelation 22:18-19).
