VH1’s special event for Black History Month, Love & Hip Hop: Lineage to Legacy, starts tonight, with cast members from its two biggest franchises – Love & Hip Hop and Black Ink Crew – come together to explore their African ancestry and celebrate Black history and culture. Several Love & Hip Hop cast members will take DNA tests to reveal their African ethnic group and country of origin and Black Ink Crew cast members will design tattoos inspired by their ancestral history, bonding them to their lineage.
Lineage to Legacy unites Love & Hip Hop’s Remy Ma, Papoose, Yandy Smith-Harris, Rich Dollaz, Tokyo Vanity, Paris Phillips, Karlie Redd and Momma Dee, along with DNA Identity Expert Dr. Gina Paige, co-founder of AfricanAncestry.com
Love & Hip NY cast favorite and hip hop star Papoose chats further about this new 2-part special, which airs Feb. 7th and Feb 14th 8pm ET/PT on VH-1.
