Essential Mortal is a self care advocate and spoken word artist from Houston, Tx. Over the course of twenty years he has performed on stages across the US, Germany and even Afghanistan. He creates, cultivates, and curates poetry that highlights the human condition and the natural beauty of our ability to adapt and overcome the challenges of life while celebrating the beauty of our collectively finite experience. Essential demonstrates a masterful storytelling while offering a philosophical perspective on relationships, trauma, and social commentary.

Kenda Edwards aka Young gunna  is an upcoming poet who resides from Mobile Alabama. She has been writing since the age of 12. Writing had always been something she enjoyed doing . She’s also a singer, rapper, and songwriter. She’s a member of a poetry troupe called Black on Black Rhyme Mobile which originated out of Tallahassee Fl, it’s one of the largest poetry troupe in the country. She is a dedicated community activist, volunteers at different schools, churches,and Community centers, motivational speaking to youth on various occasions. She has performed in cities such as Mobile AL, Gulf port MS, Tallahassee Fl, Columbia SC, MEMPHIS TN. Her goal is to be a voice for the people and aspire all to create.
