David was a great king and his small surrenders lead to great disasters...

His lust for Bathsheeba caused him to commit adultery with her and it caused him to place Uriah on the front line to be murdered, so that his infidelity with Bathsheeba would be hush, hush but little did David know, God knew.

Isaiah 30:1, Woe to the rebellious children saith the Lord, that take counsel but not of me; and that cover with a covering but not by my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.

This verse opens up with woe to the rebellious children saith the Lord. Woe is a serious affliction or misfortune or grief or distress resulting from a serious affliction or misfortune; it is also a warning that danger is imminent.

1. David (a mighty warrior and King, a ruler and leader) was rebellious

2. David committed adultery with Bathsheeba

3. David tried to conceal (cover up) his sin adultery with Bathsheeba

4. David conspired (planed in secret to commit this wrongdoing)with Joab to place Uriah right in the frontline of the enemy to kill him

God bless you!
