It’s the greatest time of year. ‘Twas the week of Christmas and all through MIA, the Dolphins fans celebrated Patriots Be Gone Day!!! We played the role of Grinch on Sunday and sent the Patriots packing with coal, a plane ticket back to frigid Massachusetts, a loss, and an elimination from the playoffs. This is the first time that the Patriots haven’t made the playoffs since 2008. And where do we stand?! Well, we’re still in the mix to get a playoff spot. It’s been a while since the Miami Dolphins have made the playoffs and Santa, if you’re listening... all us Dolphins fans want is to be associated with that beloved P word. Remember, we’re only in year 2 of a rebuild and yet Coach Flores has us in the mix for a playoff berth and a winning season. We just have to take care of business these last two weeks and we’re in. This week, we’ll be facing off against the Las Vegas Raiders, who may be without Derek Carr at the helm of the quarterback position. He suffered a groin injury last Thursday in their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Marcus Mariota replaced him, and to be completely honest, he looked sharp and ready to play.
