With the end of the 2018 season finding the Dolphins back on the HC carousel, and a broad range of speculation, the answer might be right in front of them. Many support bringing in an experienced HC with a proven track record for reaching the promise land of a Super Bowl, but that would probably be a very expensive option, and the idea of potentially trading draft picks to boot suddenly makes that idea a lot less attractive. While some speculate other avenues, such as current Dc's, Oc's and ST coaches around the NFL potentially taking the reigns of the Dolphins locker room and building a new era, there is still one other option and it seems very attractive. Phins ST coach Darren Rizzi has a proven track record right here in Miami, having already established that he can coach, motivate and bond with the respect of his players. Promoting Rizzi would also save the organization money vs signing a big name salary and the potential of giving up draft picks. The Phins would have to bring in a new ST coach, but being that a new Oc and Dc are both on the horizon, why not look into hiring a new ST coach and handing the keys over to Rizzi who has a proven record for bonding and motivation. Coach Rizzi also shows emotion, without naming names (like coach Campbell)...maybe a little fire on the sidelines is what this team needs. Taking into consideration all of the factors of the "Coaching Carousel"...I think that coach Rizzi is a very attractive decision under the vision of a rebuild, and like other ST coaches that were promoted to HC and led their teams to the promise land, the future will be interesting.
