Media stories impact our lives tremendously -- influencing our thoughts and our self-image. At the local level, media helps to create history, at personal and community levels. Saturday, June 10, 2017 @ 11am/EST Off The Shelf guest understands media. Who is she? Our special Off The Shelf guest this morning is Rina Risper. Rina is the publisher of New Citizens Press, a multicultural newspaper that mainly serves the Lansing, Michigan area. Rina is also the executive director of The New Citizens Press Community Action Network and a member of the Michigan Business Network. Rina formerly served as president of the Walnut Neighborhood Organization. She also served as an advisory board member of The Greater Lansing Business Monthly.
