#133 Guest Cheri Smith Discusses Emanuel Swedenborg

Monday's (4/22, 8PM MDT) show is about the scientist and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg (1668-1772). Our guest is Cheri Smith who as an ongoing student of the works of Swedenborg can help us to understand his writings and experiences. Having two Masters degrees, one in physics and one in divinity, Cheri also has a background and experience with mysticism and the esoteric tradition, including the teachings Oscar Ichazo, Rudolf Steiner, Swedenborg, Valentin Tomberg, Daniel Andreev, Dr. Stephen Chang, Samuel Hahnemann, Flower A. Newhouse, Athene Bitting. As a scientist at the Jet Propulsion Lab and Caltech, she worked on Voyager II space radiation physics. She taught meditation and movement techniques from Sufism, Tibetan Buddhism, and modern gestalt therapy at centers like Esalen in Big Sur. She is presently a homeopath and minister in San Diego, CA. She is also a poet, sacred dancer, and volunteers with homeless women, drug addicts and alcoholics. Passionate about creativity, healing, beauty in all its forms, God realization, and bridging esoteric and traditional spiritualities, Cheri embodies with humor and humility the unity of science, art, and spirituality.
