Paper 9—Relation of the Infinite Spirit to the Universe—§2 Omnipresent Spirit

This week, we continue our study of Urantia Paper 9 with Section 2. The Omnipresent Spirit. It is the last of the initial papers on God and his Deity Associates, authored by the Divine Counselor. There is a good chance that we will also get to Section 3. The Universal Manipulator.

So far, we've learned that the Third Source and Center (The Infinite Spirit) is responsive to both spiritual and material reality. He is the universal coordinator, the correlator of all reality. The Infinite Spirit functions whenever energy and spirit associate; no reality can escape eventual relationship with him. Agents of the Infinite Spirit ceaselessly manipulate forces and energies throughout the universes.

The Infinite Spirit is omnipresent without qualification, but is omnipotent only in the domain of mind. He possesses the unique power of anti-gravity, which he transmits to certain of his higher creatures. The Conjoint Actor manipulates the forces and energies of Paradise, thus bringing into existence the universal and absolute mind.

We discover that material creatures like us can actually experience the beneficence of the Infinite Spirit's divine influence, and can to some degree, become conscious of the Adjuster, the impersonal presence of the Universal Father. All are divine spirits which work for man's uplifting and spiritualization, and all act in unison and in perfect co-operation. They are as one in the spiritual operation of the plans of mortal ascension and perfection attainment.

9:2.4...Urantians benefit by the spiritual influences and activities of the local and the superuniverse, with their almost endless array of loving personalities who ever lead the true of purpose and the honest of heart upward and inward towards the ideals of divinity and the goal of supreme perfection.

Truly, the Father upholds, the Son reveals, Paradise stabilizes, and the Spirit unifies.
