Guest: Walter Duda Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Walter Duda discovered his passion for music after initially pursuing a career in teaching. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Detroit and has studied at Fairfield University and Wayne State University. His first composition earned him an honorable mention in a national scholarship contest by Berklee College of Music.
Walter’s big break came when George Butler, VP of jazz at CBS Records, arranged for him to record a demo at New York’s A&R Recording Studios. Since then, Walter has collaborated with renowned musicians like Will Lee, Miroslav Vitous, Dave Weckl, and Marion Meadows.
Influenced by artists such as Brian Wilson, Michael Franks, and Bobby Caldwell, Walter’s music has been featured in legendary NYC venues, mentioned in The New York Times, and received global airplay. He has also taught at the New England Music Academy and his work has been included on top-selling CD compilations.
