Tiffany D. Tucker was named Deputy Athletic Director in August 2021. A former basketball standout at North Carolina and collegiate women’s basketball coach, she is a seasoned athletic administrator.
 
Tucker joined UNCW after serving as Deputy Director of Athletics for Internal Operations and SWA at S.C. State. She previously gained athletic administration experience at Elizabeth City State, Hampton and S.C. State and coached basketball at Allegheny (Pa.) College, Radford, Francis Marion and Claflin.

In March of 2021, she was appointed to a four-year term on the NCAA Women's Basketball Rules Committee. She has also been active in the leadership of the Colonial Athletic Association. 

A graduate of the Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute, Tucker serves on committees with MOAA and Women Leaders in College Sports. She was selected by the US Olympic Committee to participate in the Ethnic Minority Women in Coaching Leadership Program in Colorado Springs in 2015. 
 
A graduate of Matoaca High School (VA), Tucker was inducted as a MHS legend in September of 2017. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy at North Carolina and Master’s of Science Degree in Sport Administration from Hampton.
